Why is there no update on my dashboard?
ScoreShuttle keeps everything on your dashboard as up-to-date as possible. The 3 credit bureaus issue new reports every 30 days - which is typically when changes occur. If you are unsure when your last report was issued, log into your ScoreShuttle dashboard to view. Your next update will be about one month, or 30 days after the report date listed.
What is disputing?
When it comes your credit, disputing is the act or process of challenging any derogatory items that may be listed on your report. Errors, outdated accounts, or down right false information could be categorized as a derogatory. If left unchecked, derogatory items such as these could potentially damage your scores and can be disputed digitally from your ScoreShuttle dashboard. How can the dispute process help my credit?
The dispute process is a major component of credit enhancement. Here's how it works. If you'd like to dispute an item listed your credit report, simply click to activate ScoreShuttle's automated dispute cycle from your user dashboard. Once received, by law, the credit bureaus have 30 days to either respond or remove the item from your report. Anytime a negative error or derogatory item is successfully removed from your report, you could see an uptick in your credit scores. Please note that ScoreShuttle's automated dispute capabilities are only available to Premium ScoreShuttle users. To upgrade your account, click here.
What items can I dispute?
Shockingly, 4 out of 5 credit reports contain at least one error. Errors can be as minor as a typo, to something much larger such as a fraudulent or outdated account – which could negatively impact your scores. Inaccuracies, misleading data, or downright false information may be referred to as, “derogatories” – and can be disputed.
How do I start the dispute process?
If you choose to become a Premium ScoreShuttle user, the software will automatically analyze your credit report and highlight any items that may be negatively impacting your scores. If you spot a derogatory, such as the ones listed above, simply click to activate ScoreShuttle's automated dispute cycle to challenge the item(s) with either 1 or all 3 credit bureaus. Once clicked, the ScoreShuttle software will continue to dispute to capacity on your behalf.
